Terms of Service

1. The Service

GM provides intelligent monitoring, contextual analysis, alerts, summaries, and operational awareness based on supported devices and information authorized or provided by users.

GM is designed to assist users. It does not replace human judgment, professional supervision, emergency services, security personnel, or legally required procedures.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

Users must be legally capable of entering into these Terms and are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and protecting account credentials.

3. Ring Integration

Use of Ring-connected features requires a compatible Ring account and supported Ring devices. Users must authorize GM to access selected Ring devices.

Ring and Amazon are separate companies and their own terms, policies, service availability, and device capabilities may apply.

4. Authorized Use

Users may only connect devices, locations, and accounts they are legally authorized to access.

Users are responsible for complying with applicable privacy, recording, employment, surveillance, notice, consent, and other laws when using cameras and GM.

5. Business and Workplace Use

Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of GM, Ring devices, cameras, recordings, and automated visual analysis complies with all applicable laws, including privacy, employment, workplace monitoring, surveillance, recording, notice, and consent requirements.

Where required by law, users are responsible for providing appropriate notice to employees, contractors, visitors, customers, residents, or other individuals whose activities may be observed or recorded.

GM does not provide legal advice and does not determine whether a particular camera placement, monitoring practice, or use of visual analysis is lawful.

6. AI and Automated Analysis

GM uses automated visual analysis to help identify activity, patterns, and potential exceptions. Automated observations may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate.

Users should independently evaluate information before making important safety, employment, financial, legal, or operational decisions.

7. No Emergency or Guaranteed Monitoring

GM is not an emergency response service and does not guarantee continuous monitoring, detection of every event, uninterrupted video availability, or prevention of loss, injury, theft, misconduct, or other incidents.

If there is an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency services.

8. Service Availability

Functionality may vary based on Ring device capabilities, device connectivity, power state, internet availability, third-party systems, and service configuration.

We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service where reasonably necessary.

9. Fees

Certain GM features may require payment. Applicable pricing, billing terms, trials, and renewal information will be presented before purchase where required.

10. Intellectual Property

GM, its software, design, branding, and proprietary technology are owned by or licensed to Groundmind Systems, Inc. Users retain rights to information they provide, subject to the permissions necessary for GM to operate the Service.

11. Prohibited Use

Users may not misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, reverse engineer protected components except where legally permitted, or use GM in violation of applicable law or the rights of others.

12. Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that automated analysis will always be complete or accurate.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Groundmind Systems, Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. The current version and effective date will appear on this page.
